A 2009 ladder is pretty difficult when a lot depends on recruiting and player walkouts The better clubs: Carisbrook Harcourt Talbot - Prickles not coaching. Have had talks with a future signing. Avoca - Grant, lakey, hughes hanging around? Maldon - Depends on Lea, burchells, brown type...

If this weeks selected side eventuate's this saturday for Dunolly, a big mention must go to daniel mcnamee for getting 20 consecutive games out of Craig burn for season 2008. Most said it couldnt be done, but not daniel. There are clearly no certaintys in footy

Ok i admit maybe i know who started this joke but obviously someone has taken this a little too far. Hopefully it goes away. On the football side of things i think talbot will slot into the top 5 regardless of this weeks result unless something out of the ordinary happens later on in the...

Loyaltyfirst: Upon closer inspection on your post about Merv Neagle's coaching philosophy, a quick wikipedia search proves a total of 203 AFL games and a premiership. How many you played?

Just the weekly tips. Trentham v Carisbrook - Brook by 60-80 points, R. Ramjet to still be feeling the effects of saturday night Royal Park v Dunolly - Dunolly to win 2 in a row Harcourt v Campbells Creek - 100 points+ Newstead v Maldon - Closer than what people think. Oxley a big...

Dunollys ground was tested during the week i believe and passed. Amazing what a bit of water does. The sunday game i guess will increase $ for the home club and make it more of a specticule, but unlucky if your a player. :o

I think ag_hero likes to pick up the fatties in general. Am i correct wheels? On another note Dunollys home game this week against creek may be played at the creek, due to delidio park being compared to a slab of concrete. Will be a difficult game to tip.

With Carisbrook looking pretty good short term, the long term beyond their recruits they pull from year to year looks bad. As an example, players such as Daniel Wilson leaving the club because the senior "bought team" is full will hurt. Clubs have to manage their recruits with the local talent...

His brother luke is in the mines over there often, is that the connection? This is also why luke didnt play footy in 07.

Brad hunt what happened there? Apart from being, um, a worry off field and not the smartest person getting around, he's a top player IMO. I'll belive it when i see it.

Correct there are/were last time i checked wesley hill, west end, winters flat and daylesford. Makes it hard to align these teams to clubs in the MCDFL. I also agree in saying the castlemaine system is a lot more serious and done properly (points finals ect.)

On the topic of junior footy, the system getting around now is ordinary and the numbers of young footballers have fallen greatly. Castlemaine used to/probably still have, a very good junior system in place. Campbells creek for example had quite a decent junior side 2-3 years ago and played a...

Brook b grade had a win again this week against last year premiers Avoca. The boys are 4 from 4 with the week off and playing dunolly after the break who have forfieted twice earlier in the season..

Agreed with 1st paragraph. Kelvin probably wants maryborough magpies to be a powerhouse again and by folding one district club and kicking district finals off their ground might help . And the reason for 95% is he hasnt told me personally, but a very good source has. Almost Put...

Gee i look forward to seeing september action from hedges oval :thumbsd::thumbsd: On a lighter note its 95% fact an MCDFL club has signed a coach or assistant coach, the player being an ex-natte '07 player. Will post more when i can, im suprised nobodys been onto it. :)

Reading through some of your posts 'Showusya' and it seems you have quite a large bar over Marc Cassidy. Maybe you should stop pinging stuff up cass's shit and get some credentials yourself.

Haha their pathetic you cheese cake. And Rocco im neither. Your side was probably one of the worst sides to play b grade from all reports.

Not that it matters but swap trentham around with dunolly. Top 4 again should be Harcourt, Avoca, Talbot, 'brook in no particular order. Maybe Maldon the big improvers, You never know tho do you.

Good to see the brook b grader's getting into it, their really geared up for the 'derby' against maryborough at Jubilee, should be a belter of a game. Aside from saturdays game the only other game worth getting serious about is Avoca, so probably play some drinking cricket until then. Beaufort...

Maryborough look unbeatable this year, have to be red hot favourites. With a very good source telling me Lloyd and Kick are playing after christmas they are looking pretty strong. Also Casey langs name mentioned very interesting, but done his back will miss 1st half of the season. With Dell, two...

Thats it  The main part of what im saying is, its either top 3 or 4 on the ladder or last for Dunolly senior football next year. Make or break. Think its break but with the BFL job sounding good for j-mac.

    Maryborough Castlemaine District FL

Exactly. But also he'd be going out there by himself + a few, as opposed to Dunolly where it will be 10+ (Hutchins, Brady ect.) But my main point was for less personal glory.

    Maryborough Castlemaine District FL

I'd probably right off Talbot, especially for just a co-coach job. If its MCDFL it will be Dunolly, He has said seeing his old footballing home suffer so poorly on the field is whats going to bring him back. He wont be too worried about ressurecting Dunolly either. Just watch the transfer of...

Jason seems keen to come back if J-Mac and crew get onboard. However the feeling i got is that Shane is still playing too well to come back and is likely to go back up north. He is a classy player and would be a very handy addition to any team. Time will tell and you never know  If the...

I never said J-mac would be playing MCDFL. Very much still undecided. Cant see him going CHFL tho, it will either be BFL or MCDFL.

B-grade are all one day matches except for the last 3 games of the year. They were all earmarked to be 40 over games however did not gain full approval of every club so a comprimise had to be made.
