I don't know what the umpiring was like, from what I watched they swallowed the whistle mostly. I would have thought that if anything, the AFL would have loved a Carlton/Collingwood GF. That'd have an insane atmosphere.
Good game and well done Carlton. Have you guya turned the corner? I wouldn't have a clue. But a good mate of mine is a Carlton man, so I hope you guys keep doing well.
I honestly think Collingwood had for them, an off night. A string of tight games, travelling to Adelaide and back, you'd have...
One more thing, they really need to change the out of bounds rule to the same as soccer. That or anything else to take it out of the umpires hands for the most part. They are just incapable of adjuticating them, since the rule came in.
Congrats Collingwood people. Great game, and an incredible effort to win that. Hell of a side this year. Looking good for the flag.
Commiserations Port, that one hurts I reckon. Still, you guys are well placed for finals.
Perhaps not appropriate to the conversation, but he was arguably one of the best players for Geelong in the 1992 Grand Final. Kept working hard and popping up. I reckon thatattitude would come out in his coaching a bit.
Commiserations Essendon, hurts to lose these. On the up side though, played well, really well. Pushed Port all night. I think the trip west is probably what hurt the Dons last week. I think Essendon has improved this year.
Great work Port! What a way to end a game.
Well, Dogs have got this one and good job to them, bont is a great player to watch.
North, well I reckon they have some promise and have done very well to keep the game competetive. Also Ratts is a better coach that most think. He at least knows how to get a squad looking like a coherent...
Well done once again Richmond. Playing some good, appropriate for the conditions, footy.
Commiserations Saints, tried damn hard.
Good game played in hard conditions.
I'd prefer Claremont myself. With the amount of players we've had thru the doors to get picked up by AFL teams, we'd possibly have a decent side.
Not with our current master of choking in Grand Finals coach though.
When does Freo play Carlton next? I have in recent seasons put Freo in gnerally the same place development wise, with Carlton just a bit ahead. It's going to be interesting to see who wins our next bout. Most probably the team that decides to turn up on the day.
This is somewhat conflicting. I'm watching my team get flogger, but I like GWS and enjoy watching them play, especially Toby Greene. So, copping a pasting, but enjoying the way the other team is playing.
The protected space or whatever it was that gave away a 50 has to gotten rid of, or at least tweaked, change the penalty to a 15 or 25.
It's a shit rule.
Freo's awful start is on them though.
I thought Freo's was worse. That and by spiling it all the time as well as continually ****ing up passes was very much playing to Richmonds strengths around the ball.
That's no way to win games.
Gutsy win Tiges. Well done. Freo had pretty much everything going for them there. Had 10 mins to score but Richmonds pressure was excellent, and Freos skills for most of the time weren't. Just can't win games playing like that.
Richmond just a fair bit coller and experienced, and plain just...
