It's a question I've half-answered for myself but still a little curious about.
I'm assuming that the classic bar scarf with the VFL club nicknames was a product of a licensing deal with VFL Properties Division in the mid-1970's or thereabouts.
An ad seeking applicants for licensing appeared...
I've had my current license ID for about 4 years.
Is anybody else's photo fading pretty badly? The rest of the license is pretty spot on, it just sits in my wallet, but it looks like I'm being erased from existence.
So Sheeds was the first full time senior coach, apparently. Do we know who was the last part time coach?
I originally thought it might be Allan Jeans.

But after that I came across this article about Malcolm...
Every site I go on I seem to see fake Dick Smith flogging something or other. I never actually click on the link, so what's the story, what's the scam?
Not much else to say really.

Significant for the US and British Government as well.
I love a good ladder predictor, especially at the end of the season. Permutations do please me, the more unlikely the better.
This year it's Richmond, who require a series of unlikely but not impossible events to take place to get over the line. As it stands, it's one more upset win along with...
Must be pretty juicy.

An interesting read. I'm not one for Facebook but my mum runs a suburb-based group and some of the whinging and carry on does your...
2007 was most probably the first prominent use of social media in a federal election campaign.
The ALP used it to great effect, in the middle of the year they launched their YouTube channel with this uplifting number. Though it bypasses the traditional gatekeepers for multimedia messaging at...
Evening All.
I'll first say that this was a problem pre-upgrade as well, so I don't want to clog up that thread.
Pretty much what the title says really, whenever I click on a new alert on my mobile (Android, Chrome browser) it sends me down to the bottom of the page and not to the post in...
Bit of a reminder not to believe everything you read in the paper.

This has been a bit of a head scrather for me on and off for a long time.
Back in the good old days of the 90's, I used to watch a lot of football on television. Being the inquisitive kid I was, every now and then I noticed a few lines on the ground that seemed to serve no purpose. I had a hell...
I came across some interesting footage that was just uploaded to YouTube of Richmond v St Kilda in 1987 at VFL Park.
Clearly the match footage was taken from the feed used for the VFL Park Scoreboard. The capture of the scoreboard and it's advertising after every goal would suggest it was...
Qualification commences tonight but there's plenty of bad weather around so it's not looking likely at the moment.
Indycar are really on point with their social media, it's been a real delight watching top quality footage of all days of official practice and the Alsono test as well. The footage...
Saturday is International Men's Day. ******* yay for us.
There's nothing that beats being a man. Apart from the lower life expectancy, poorer health outcomes and higher rates of suicide.
We are getting to a busy and stressful time of year, and that can take a toll on the state of mind. Stats...

Interesting little idea, I can see a lot of potential in developing forms of football that can be played on smaller grounds with fewer players as well.
The last thing on my mind 15 years ago last Thursday was constitutional reform. So what are people's memories of the Constitutional Convention and the subsequent Referendum?
Did the appointment model have any real chance?
Though it's just a political stunt, I'm happy to see the back of the Gold Pass.

Three little letters that has caused so much political heartache over the past 30 years.
We may as well have a thread on it as it seems that this will be a recurring topic of discussion over the term of this Parliament.
I personally don't want to hear any excuses, if the GST rises or broadens...
