Glenorchy's got a pretty active facebook page called "Get Aker At Glenorchy" that has been regularly posting updates on their efforts to recruit Akermanis and Robbo.
It says they are not expecting a final answer from Aker until December when he has finalised his media committments for next...
Magpies hope to soar again

THE Settlers Inn Port Macquarie Magpies have secured the services of feisty on-baller Tim Donohue as coach for the 2009 AFL North Coast season.
Donohue, 27, will share the duties in first grade with club stalwart and life member, Scott Payne...
Agree with everythong you say, but to single blokes after they have lost a gf on an internet forum is gutless in my opinion. Go and front them individually if you have a problem with the way they played. Or the very leat let everyone know your real name on here and then have a crack at them.
I hope so. I've played in ten senior gf's for one win. That's nine losses and it hurts like hell, and I know on each of those occasions myself and my teammates have given their best. Given this history I am very wary of bagging other players. Perhaps you should do the same.
Tell me exactly which blokes from Cardiff have been talking themselves up. A lot of Cardiff blokes have played in 3 or 4 flags, some more. Every right to go in confident. They went down to a better side on the day, simple as that. Well done to City. Doesn't mean they all didn't give 100%...
This has come from a bloke who probably can't play the game at all. Always very easy bagging blokes after they have lost a gf. Weak as piss w***er. Well done to City.
Not much traffic on the North Coast thread for a while. North Coast website does a great job of updating all the news and results from the league. I saw Sawtell won the seniors, Port again in the reserves and Sawtell in the thirds. Lets hope 2009 is another big year for the league. Would be...
With Mick Bowden not wanting the top job at Glenorchy and Ben Beames returning to the state from his stint at Myrtleford, one would suggest he might be a chance of taking over at the Magpies next year.
I HOPED TO BE SAINT SAVIOUR

OUTGOING Myrtleford...
Ben Beames will be out for the rest of the year with Myrtleford due to a bad knee injury that will require a reconstruction. Real shame for Myrtleford as he was playing some great footy from all accounts
THE Settlers Inn Port Macquarie Magpies suffered a 22-point defeat at the hands of defending premiers Sawtell Saints in the AFL North Coast's top of the table clash at Richardson Park on Saturday.
Despite a strong first half and finish to the game, a quiet third term cost the Magpies dearly as...
Good to see the results and ladders are now updated on Sportingpulse. I hope someone can now update the website as it was running well before Chris McKinley left. I'm assuming he updated the website. Coffs Swans must have dropped off a bit.
