You seriously have NFI what it took to get to this stage. We don’t own the land, we full maintain it, and we are fully funding the development ie not 1cent of council money. The school use the land for no more than 10% of usable hours. Sporting clubs use it for another 10% of usable hours...
Has been happening for 69 years we have been playing at Chelsworth, and because of the Greenies, it will be happening for another 60 years. It’s fantastic when there is no time on and the ball goes missing!!😱😱
Just heads up. The School has won its lease extension for Chelsworth Park. The planning permit process is now underway.
Best case scenario the demolition will start late this year.
New rooms to be ready by 2026.🤞🤞🤞
The vote was approved last night (Monday) to extend the schools lease at Chelsworth Park. Now the planning for the 2 new pavilion commences. Most of the work has been done. There will be more stake holder interference, sorry I mean input.
School to spend $14.0m on pavilions. Won’t be...
There is a vote on it tonight.
None of the rooms are great. The DLS away rooms are also pretty small, but at least Chelsy has great warm up facilities.
Unfortunately I was whisked away for the weekend so I didn’t see the game.
I heard the same. Amazing tough and hard 1st half.
Lack of a...
My club has had 7 reports in the last 2 season.
2 took the prescribed.
1 was “invited” to EP. Perfect record. A VFL Captain, legend of NFNL and a father of 1.😂. He was sited because he failed a duty of care and given 3 weeks. I believe a freak accident.
4 players successfully challenged. 3...
Envious of the facilities, but the ground itself is weird. But there are goal and behind posts at each end, so will be happy to play on any ground with the 4 sticks at either end.
Ask Dr Mannix and Mr Corin. I believe they were still playing when we last played each other.
Our grounds are similar lengths, but widths are a lot different.
I know our record at the Bell is ok, especially after last years 2nd Semi👏👏👏.
The ground is as wide as it is long.
The goals aren’t adjacent.
45 metre arcs.
The centre was marked in the middle. Great move by Mr. Line Marker. But it left the boundary some 75 metres on one side and 50 metres on the other.
The surface is showing signs of the incredible amount of football...
They will reap what they sew.
Has any community member tried to get in to Carey or Trinities playing fields. Clearly not coz you can’t. Chelsworth Park is open ever day of the year.
Just saying.
Chump would you spend $30m plus over the next 30-40 years without some minimal protection. I...
Chump,
Over the last 20 years we have never played practice matches at Chelsworth due to curator of the ground insisting they lay turf over the hard wicket. We never get a home game in Round 1 either. We played our practice matches at Mernda.
In 2024 due to changing to carpet pile over the...
It’s great watching Girls teams change on the grounds and not in the change rooms.
When the girls use the change rooms, there is one cubical and urinal from the 70’s.
Car lights are more powerful than our training lights.
The grounds are at capacity on a Saturday, so traffic will not get...
Great day at the Hedge today.
I near perfect conditions, goals were at a premium, with Reed Jepsen shutting down ever attack.
The game came down to a kick after the siren froM a very difficult angle and the OT’s didn’t score. I believe Reed Jepsen stopped the certain goal from being scored...
