Yes I understand (on a basic level) the current system...
It just seems completely unreasonable that if he wants to go elsewhere he cannot sign on the dotted until his current one is totally expired...thus leaving himself vulnerable to massive loss of income should, IDK his leg fall off ITMT...
The issue with that is Warner could blow out a knee between now and the end of next year. There is something to be said for him signing a 5 year extension at 1 mill per now and locking that in. He then has the best insurance policy in the world.
If he does want to go home, is he not allowed to...
Well yeah I'm speculating on draft and trade hypotheticals....like it says on the thread title. :p
Parker has two Premierships as a forward left. This year and next. By the time he is done our new number 2 draft pick will be ready to fill the spot.
To be clear I'm happy with Logan on about...
Well it depends...markets aren't perfect and what he can get in some markets might be significantly over his intrinsic worth.
So in that case we shouldn't just pay it.
That's all I'm saying really. If he can get significantly over his intrinsic worth to us then good luck to him, and hand us...
700 would be fine, though I'd guess at the start of the year Freo and WC may have been offering 900 to prise him away on the thinking he is on the up as a KPF.
They may not now though given it's more obvious what he is and is not as a forward. I think he's a very decent medium forward with...
I've said before he is a medium forward in the body of a KPF. So I don't mind keeping him at all if we are paying medium-forward type money. But paying him KPF type money (20% over Hayward) shouldn't be on the cards - as he doesn't supply that kind of benefit IMO.
Would we though? Or would we choose to go with two bigs and play Parker forward? He is hard to budge - can take a mark. Can tackle. I think Parker would almost be an upgrade on McDonald there myself.
Plus we also have Buller and Hamling as big options to think about.
West Coast's first and second a suitable price given the time we have put in to him. Give them back our second.
Or how about us just swapping both 1st and 2nd round picks with West Coast? If they're going to have the second pick each round and us the last that would work.
I'd take it. He's...
Trade him. He's honestly not much - getting goals because he is on the end of a very good team atm and that's about it. He's not creating any or even getting many from half chances. He's not taking great marks, and often not even able to bring the ball to ground against an opponent. I'm aware he...
If Mclean and Grundy are both up on that contest on HF wing, WHY is McDonald hanging round the back of the contest and not over the other side of the ground waiting for a small to win it and ping it over to him?
Been the Swans way for a decade inside 50
