I’ve no doubt he plays next week…concerning soft tissue injuries at his age though.

    Review Round 11 = Fremantle 75-75 Collingwood

Terrible result, 25 points up with 7 to go in a low scoring game. Shockingly bad to lose 2 points like that! Liked what I saw from the debutants in a highly contested game. Injuries are worrisome. We were very fumbly and our skills were deplorable. Does anyone know what was wrong with...

    Luke Hodge the commentator

Commentates like a bitchy school girl. We should petition to have him removed from Collingwood games. Find him arrogant as well.

Unofficial Preview Round 12 vs. Western Bulldogs, Marvel, 7:40pm Friday 31/05

I disagree, particularly since we are short talls in the forward line. He contests the ball in the air, which we are set up for really well. He also rucks really well. I think we are better with him in the side, but we can also cover him by turning his weaknesses into strengths.

Krueger is a rubbish ruck. I thought Allan was ok, covers the ground well and applies a lot of pressure. Fly rates that.

Unofficial Preview Round 12 vs. Western Bulldogs, Marvel, 7:40pm Friday 31/05

Cox is not such a big out. We lose on aerial, but we’ll gain by bringing in a player that can apply more pressure and create damage with ball in hand. Having said that, I hope Krueger has a good game in the VFL. System will keep us in contention against the dogs, we just have to execute...

Really feel for Fin, desperately needs game time in the AFL

Will be a tough night off successive six day breaks, the dockers are elite on ball. Would just like to get through without injury.

Don’t disagree at all with that sentiment. Bull on ballers are east to find, we had one in Taylor Adams…but how much better would he have been if he was fast and skilful

No idea, I would say not. Tenure should be key. The rules are becoming more convoluted

You need match winners and X factor players in your side, we have some of those already…you can always do with more, Reid would be ideal but it’s not like we are desperate. You pay upwards of 1.5m for one player, plus draft pick/player compensation, you’re screwed if they drop off. Look at...

Player Watch Mark Keane (Retired 2022, Crows SSP 2023)

Suggest, no. Think, yes. The reason why I didn’t suggest it is because I assumed the club would know whether he was worth relisting. He never really broke through when he was with us, he had all the attributes, so I figured the club thought he’d never make it….that has been proven incorrect...

I never had Murphy as a key back, in fact he wasn’t until he had to be. I think he still would have played with a Keane and Moore set up down back, and as the third tall. A bit like Maxy.

This is what will hurt, paying picks and extra salary to entice a move back. Why not take him when he was free

That’s exactly right. Get them fit at the right time of year. Geelong and Hawthorn were masters of this.

Game Day Round 11 vs. Fremantle, OS, 8:10pm Friday 24/05

50 games is the magical number for me, but I take your point. I think we’ll struggle to bring in high end talent on mass over the next couple of seasons, we just don’t have the picks and our cap will only free up as we are losing players anyway. I’d prefer to keep him and see what he can...

Macrae strikes me as one that will need time. Even if it means we play him at HFF. Schultz and Mcreery can spend time on ball, Elliott closer to retirement…

This is the type of move I could sign up to. Midfielders are the best investment.

Game Day Round 11 vs. Fremantle, OS, 8:10pm Friday 24/05

Our system holds up even with personnel changes. WHE is one of the key pieces, now missing. We’ll make a game of it, but agree will be tight. Although we still have a lot of quality on the ground, will require some heroics to get us across the line. Felt they played Jordy prematurely last...

Game Day Round 11 vs. Fremantle, OS, 8:10pm Friday 24/05

That helps, but isn’t just about the ability to run. I think you understate his value. For one, you need to understand the game plan, the pace of the game, your opponents and most importantly your team mates. A debutant can’t do any of these things. WHE is one of our most versatile players...

Game Day Round 11 vs. Fremantle, OS, 8:10pm Friday 24/05

Agreed, but part of also developing the list is giving these players exposure. I’d throw the magnets around, give Schultz and Mcreery time on ball to give Macrae some time on a HFF. He has to get to 50 or so games before you can judge whether the others are better or not. Granted currently on...

Game Day Round 11 vs. Fremantle, OS, 8:10pm Friday 24/05

Don’t be surprised if Degoey ends up with delayed concussion symptoms. Had a heavy fall late in the game. Despite the score line, I felt like we controlled the game and were let down by execution at times. I’d keep it to necessary changes only. Macrae was ok, he’s learning and needs some...

Game Day Round 10 vs. Adelaide, MCG, 1:45pm Sat 18/05

As good a debut as I can remember for us, albeit unfair to compare him to an 18yo, but still. Did everything right. Number 1 pressure player on the ground, I think he keeps his role and we play either Schultz or Mcreery on ball. Will hold us in good stead long term getting them exposure in...

List Mgmt. 2024 Mid Season Draft

Hine takes best available, and that’s exactly what he should be doing. Id rather another small forward that plays 200 games than project ruck/forward/back that amounts to nothing.

Mitchell is indeed critical, and needs to be fit for finals. Absolutely doesn’t play unless 100% I’d be bringing Kruger and Dean for Howe. Schultz earns his recall. If we are short a midfield rotation throw Schultz or Maynard in for periods.
