NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed. Part 3

You are so far off it's actually funny 🤣 The teachers union is one of the most left wing organisations in Australia! According to you all those teachers that matched in the BLM protests, Free Palestine marches, etc, etc are all closet racists? I don't think I can think off another...

NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed. Part 3

If we are setting the bar for racism at a bad dad joke then society has well and truly jumped the shark.

Of course there has been but on average they would be less likely to be racists than the general public from my lived experience. Any social justice cause you care to mention the teachers union loves to get involved in So what is the probability that three ex teachers could all be so horribly...

NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed. Part 3

Alright then so are both using assumptions. Me that they would be less likely to be racists based on their teaching careers and you that they are more likely to be racist based on their age, gender and skin colour. I guess we will just have to base our vie s on the evidence. Oh that's right...

NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed. Part 3

My parents were high school teachers and I've hung around a lot of teachers to know that on average (not talking individually but on average) teachers are generally more left leaning in their views. So the thought that three ex teachers could all be actual died in the wool racists always struck...

NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed. Part 3

That's what I have been so big on. The moment the ABC published the story in the way they did they essentially took a "scorched earth" policy. The moment that story was published there was never going to be any reasonable possibility of mediation. You can't mediate claims of being a racist...

NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed. Part 3

It is still interesting to me that the ABC (Russell Jackson) chose to publish the story to begin with. Egan's report is total piece of incoherent rubbish and we have now had two properly independent reviews (lead by KCs no less) finding no evidence of racist behavior by the club or the coaches...

Jeff, is that you? I'd thought an ex premier would have better things to do with his time than post on Big Footy!

NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed. Part 3

$300k for 6 people (if that's how I read it not $300k each) is a total lowball offer. Would barely cover legal costs. Makes me think that the players have got sweet FA actual evidence that they can use to back the more sensalationist claims up and the club isn't too worried about them. Also...

Autopsy Round 12, 2024: Hawks stone the Crows

5 weeks ago I would have said no way, but his last couple of weeks have been very good. It's no small thing to have a medium forward who can kick 3/4 goals a game on a regular basis. I've noticed with Gunners that over his career he has distinct up and downs in his output, most probably...

Opinion Can the Hawks make finals in 2024?

We have always had trouble with their fast, play on at all times, chaos ball into the forward 50 game style. The amount of injuries they have right now though they are absolutely ripe for the picking.

Bloody Richmond! Surely, surely we can break that particular curse this year?

Opinion Can the Hawks make finals in 2024?

Win the next two games (GWS at Tassie and Richmond at the MCG) and we have have the bye and turn into the home stretch at 7/7. I think we will need thirteen wins to make it which means we need to win 6 out of 9 from the bye on-wards which is difficult but not impossible. Next weeks game is the...

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, Dylan Moore. Extends to 2026!

https://www.sen.com.au/news/2024/06/02/is-underrated-hawk-deserving-of-an-all-australian-blazer-in-2024/ Good to see Dylan getting some external recognition for his great work 👍 He plays more monster games like he did on the weekend and the selectors will be hard pr sees to exclude him from...

Coach Sam Mitchell's direction for the club and 2024 news

I almost feel like Sicily is a bit of the forgotten man for the Hawks in 2024. If he gets rolling again and starts to hit the form of last year our performance will go up another level again.

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, Ned Reeves. Extends to 2026!

Cox is like a Temu Paul Salmon, he's actually a naturally good mark and also a decent kick for goal. Neither Meek or Reeves are anywhere close to Cox in regards to marking / forward craft. I doubt they will ever get much better at it either, it's just not their thing. There is no way I can...

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, Ned Reeves. Extends to 2026!

Just won't happen I'm afraid. It's impossible to play two pure rucks in the same team in today's footy. Carlton have the same dilemma at the moment with TDK and Pittonet. It only ever works when you have a ruckman who is a genuine forward threat as well which is why the Doggies can play both...

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, Dylan Moore. Extends to 2026!

The good thing is with any discussion about future captains is that we actually have a pretty decent one right now (Sicily) so there is no rush to make either Moore or Day captain.

By my calculations that makes Big Boy approximately 130 years old 🤣

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Jack Ginnivan!

He's actually a cheeky, super hard working, super smart half forward!

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Jack Ginnivan!

Both Ginni and Moore are working their backsides off across half forward which is a real point of difference we have over other teams. It's like we have an additional two midfielders (who are also kicking goals like a forward pocket would).

Autopsy Round 12, 2024: Hawks stone the Crows

He's paid to kick goals and should have the shot. Who's to say Dear would have kicked the goal if Ginni had have passed it to him anyway? Ginni is having a great year, we shouldn't lose sight of all the positive things he is currently doing over one or two minor brain fades.

    2024 Rolling ALL-Australian Team

Dylan Moore with the lazy 27 disposals and 5 goals playing across half forward. That's as close to a complete game as you will find I'd say.

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, Dylan Moore. Extends to 2026!

He should be All Australian if he keeps this up but the selectors generally try and cram in a couple of midfielders on the half forward line so he's up against it. I agree though, he's the best "pure" half forward going. Tough as nails as well.

Autopsy Round 12, 2024: Hawks stone the Crows

I think whilst finals are still a possibility we need to pick our best team each week and currently CJ isn't best 23 based on his form since coming back. I have always been a big fan of CJ and we are a better side when he is up and about but right now he looks like he needs a spell to get his...

Autopsy Round 12, 2024: Hawks stone the Crows

Lots to like from today Dylan Moore - 27 possessions and 5 goals 🤩. Making a solid claim to be the best pure half forward in the competition. Jack Ginnivan - 22 possessions and 2 goals. Possibly the hardest working forward pocket in the league? Ned Reeves - 10 possessions, 3 marks, 1 goal...

    Game Day Round 12, 2024: Hawthorn v Adelaide Crows, 1.45pm @ MCG

Ginni with another game getting a couple of goals and 20 possessions. That's amazing production from a forward pocket 👍

    Game Day Round 12, 2024: Hawthorn v Adelaide Crows, 1.45pm @ MCG

Dylan Moore making a pretty strong case to be in the All Australian Squad today. Hes kicking multiple goals this year which he didn't do as much off last year. Crazy to think he was this close to being delisted only what three / four years ago?
