Lost our first 4 trips by an average of 45 (2012-2018)
Won our last 4 trips by an average of 8.5 (2019-2024)
We’ve gotten better at playing away from home generally and have also learned how to win the close ones.
I absolutely love how some are focussing on a correct decision at the end of the game is somehow proof the cats were robbed (Bruhn tried to spin out of the tackle, not a slinging motion, & then just threw the ball away - it was paid for a throw, not HTB) while completely forgetting about Hogan...
Not bad from a kid in his 7th game.
Absolutely loved the team waiting to sing the song while he was out there taking selfies & signing autographs. As one person said on twitter, once he took the first selfie he wasn’t leaving until everyone got looked after - great character.
We have seats down near the interchange (just in front of dlanod actually) but tonight it would have been out in the rain, so we were up in the second tier of the Vincent Fairfax stand which was opened especially because it was raining to allow members to head up there & be dry. That section was...
Lots of reasons why this makes sense, not many to say it doesn’t. It’s not like he’s been out of the game that long, it’s not like he’s that old, and Brisbane are in need with injuries.
It’s also not like he’ll get to 100 there so there’s no issue father son wise.
Good luck to him if he does
What? Brayden Preuss injured? I am in shock. Who might ever have guessed?
Sounds like Madden had a day out, and on top of that monster from 60 last week, looks like the Pruess situation might not be as dire as we might have thought.
From what I saw of the vfl game, Preuss spent most of his time deep full forward. Madden did the majority ruck work. Preuss did ok when in the ruck but he certainly hasn’t come close imo to having played enough there to take on a full AFL game in the centre.
He was very much being eased back...
And Ross raced straight down to the sidelines & did the same.
Also what rules are broken? Not a single player stepped over the line out of the field of play and not a single coach, or bench player stepped onto the ground.
Same with the saints when they did it.
Smart, I would have said.
85% disposal efficiency on 34 possessions on the weekend (averaging 83% across the year) I wouldn’t have described that as a particularly high rate of turnover.

Lead by the grand daddy small forward in Toby Green
And it’s quite a formidable mosquito fleet we have on hand.
This commentator is particularly annoying. He has no idea who half the Giants players are.
"Good work from the defensive player there" doesn't cut it. Who was it?
Fahey's goal from outside 50 was a beauty and if I were Jacob Wehr I'd be doing everything I could this afternoon
Can’t.
a) Pick 1 that year was Lachie Whitfield and they already count him.
b) Jack Martin was pick 1 in the mini-draft - Jesse was pick 2.
And just remember, for those picks we got Jono O’Rourke, Lachie Plowman & Aiden Corr - so, yay us.
Actually it was pick 54
(Which we got from Wet Toast for Zac Langdon)
Which Freo then used on a kid called Joel Western who played 4 games for them before being delisted in 2022.
Remembering that they gave up pick 6 to Melbourne for him in 2018 (that they then traded to GC for Stephen May &...
Why on earth would you move Taylor out of Defence when Harry has kicked 161 goals in 155 games (with very few of those coming when he plays in defence)?
We also have Derksen & Gruzewski that could be blooded if need be.
If you are going to rob Peter to pay Paul, the obvious move is Himmleberg.
Apparently from next year Fox won’t be forced to use the channel 7 commentary on its broadcast. They can use their own.
Quite frankly, next year can’t come soon enough.
It’s funny you know. The excuse for West Coast is, oh, they’re young, they’re rebuilding but just look at the profile of the 2 teams on the weekend.
Average age:
West Coast: 24 yrs 356 days
GWS: 25 yrs 24 days
(On average we’re less than a month older)
Total Games (average)
West Coast: 1968...
