Still doesn’t mean he bowled well. He captained well, Marsh is a good t20 leader and we have Maxwell and Wade there too how many leaders do you need? I’d only play Cummins if you want to leave Starc out. Ellis has to play in these conditions

    Grand Slam French open 2024

Well you get the terrible ones and end up with Aija and Saville who is handy top 30 players but what’s the point. The answer is better pathways and coaching, too many very average coaches and it filters to the top level when you have Hewitt type coaches who harm not help players as that style is...

So happy for Mirra last night just beyond annoyed Rybakina makes Paolini look good every single time by hitting a million UE's

    Grand Slam French open 2024

They don't grow on trees mate, and there's a good reason most come from Europe the pathways are a mile better. Alex did well but for the sake of the tournament we need Zverev in the final, we do not need Casper 'I'll hit the ball back sort of' in a final. Zverev vs Carlos or Sinner please

Agar for me if we replace Haze, and even then I wouldn't. Think 3 quicks are needed otherwise you have Stoin opening the bowling or something

As a captain yes, his economy rate was trash, his side was all about get 230 plus and defend it. Ellis will be important, changes of pace and genuine death bowling

2 for 28 for Ellis Exactly why he's in the side.

T20 World Cup Game 10 Australia v Oman, June 6 1000hrs @ Kensington Oval Barbados

In a test and ODI yes. He is not and should not be ahead of Ellis in a t20. It's Starc or Cummins take your pick non fussed whichever way

Think you'll find 170 is a VERY good score in these conditions in this WC.

Hope Cummins gets the gatorade mix right He'll be getting used to it this tournament

Have a feeling we will do well there, pitches that lower the score suit us massively

T20 World Cup Game 10 Australia v Oman, June 6 1000hrs @ Kensington Oval Barbados

First real bowl in a while that's all this first stage is a bunch of games that mean very little to the big sides

There should really be a rule "You get 2 incorrect reviews...and every Joel Wilson decision is automatically reviewed"

He has looked very good in the ipl to be fair, I do agree with you though

Still would question the need for David in these conditions. Feel Green/Inglis have to play, just gives a bit more stability in there Thank goodness they dropped Cummins from t20

Have no issue Burton in the side but start him pick him at 6 or in the centres

Honestly not sure they can do anything now. I'd have given the captaincy to Crighton myself. It was weird played 20 odd mins, then not on till 10 to go after the game was lost? Made no sense

He has played some wing, so I recon he'd be fine there, possibly not centre but you have Crighton there and Lomax in the side who plays centre. Personally pick players on the bench that give you X Factor. Two props one with impact (Leinu). Do feel NSW were one short in the prop rotation...

Having a captain not on the bench for 60 mins would be an idea too. Cleary is out he won't be back till 3-4 weeks after Origin have heard r21-22 is where they are aiming. Penrith won't rush this again like they did last time
  23. LukeParkerno1

State of Origin Ampol State of Origin 2024

I'd go the more dynamic type myself. Burton for me should be picked at 6 in the side if he's there or centre

Just a small point but Drinkwater has played in the halves, so he isn't a specialist FB so to speak Can't agree on Luai being NSW's best not over Lomax at least. Think I did give Luai a 7/10 though so he was the best NSW half albeit the rest weren't great

Cronk played the less dominant one, that was a unique one though. It's so rare it works. I have more of an issue both generally play one side of the ruck. Look it might work and it's a gamble you might roll the dice on
  26. LukeParkerno1

State of Origin Ampol State of Origin 2024

Maybe, I'm just not a fan of Burton personally, that might be on me so I'll leave it at that
  27. LukeParkerno1

Always does, DCE is so underated it isn't funny at Origin level, same with Hunt. Every year people want to not pick these two lol
  28. LukeParkerno1

State of Origin Ampol State of Origin 2024

I wouldn't two dominant halves, it's doesn't work, and Moses generally plays the same side to Cleary. Feel NSW need a runner and pick whoever you wish at 7.
  29. LukeParkerno1

State of Origin Ampol State of Origin 2024

There shouldn't be a reason not to pick both anyway, if you want to start with Edwards, fine pick him, but have Drinkwater on the bench. That way you can make the change if need be. Luai NSW's best? You are talking compared to Hynes right? Surely Lomax, Haas, and at least Martin were better...

If NSW win the series (and they still could) with Moses at 7, don't see why he shouldn't be picked. Not saying they will, but Moses at 7 was brilliant in game 3 last year. Cleary hasn't had that many good Origins yet (I know he is young).
