Yes, because the time they had to spend on repairing AFL 23 set everything back. That’s my entire point, they were fine working on 4 games but they couldn’t have predicted AFL 23 falling apart as badly as it did.

This is kind of what I mean, Big Ant have seemingly done everything right but their poor communication with the public made it look like they left this to the last minute. They just make it harder for themselves.

They’ll have to have that sorted for pro team. Licensed current day players and legends in custom teams seems like a censorship nightmare.

You can use custom teams in season mode and even create custom leagues/tournaments. On a similar note, I get why custom teams can’t be used online but it’s a shame we can’t use custom guernseys online to “show off” these creations (maybe pro team will give us an avenue of some sort for this).

Maybe it is a PC v Console thing, I’ve never had these issues since the 2024 update patch on ps5
