I think we all get it now. You're against the Giants only playing eight games in Sydney and you think it hampers the Giants' uptake. I don't know that replying to every post with the same point over and again is going to do much to affect it given none of us are decision makers for the Giants.
I know, ours does - but that's not a freebie, we pay for the membership. Generally when people refer to freebies, they're talking about the club giving out actually free memberships, not overly generous assignments to paid for memberships.
Are there actual freebies? I know there's cheap options, but I'm yet to stumble across anyone getting membership for free (other than kids' which are structured to get parents to sign up) despite my daughter playing juniors in the GWS zone.
Both get sold. Canberra pays GWS $2.8m per year for the games + sponsorship. I can't see the going rate for the Suns but "In collaboration with Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC), the Northern Territory Government and the AFL, the SUNS have agreed to play two matches in the NT...
If he's on a Daniher or a Hipwood, even a Charlie or McCarthy, it's a lot harder for Sicily to intercept because he has to respect their leads.
If he's on a defensive small, like you say, they can impact his defensive work.
But someone like Fort - well they're not leading really, so he doesn't...
No way would I drive in.
Based off my experience the light rail sucks to drag everyone out of the stadium so I always end up walking back to Central.
That's a non-starter with two littlies after a long day.
There's usually four down each sideline, and one behind each goal keeper plus one in play so I guess that's at least 11 for soccer. AFL wouldn't be too much more.
Which is almost all regular season games, hence why NRL clubs are trying to move elsewhere and only play finals there.
One game above 20k there this year. Last year the NRL averaged 15k there, the year before 16k. For it to merely average above 20k you have to go back a decade to 2014.
The problem with Fort coming in is that when he's resting up forward he's a simple option for Sicily to "defend" and drop off, because it's highly unlikely Fort is either going to make him pay or keep up with him enough to keep him honest.
The footage of the automated offside system in the World Cup was exactly this, it was a game changer. Immediate feedback, correct feedback, with an easily understandable graphic to show why it was considered offside. There was a separate discussion kicked off about the actual wording of the...
Are you Sydney based? Just a weird alignment knowing there was a big netball carnival on the weekend and then the Met East team is playing down in Albury today - my daughter's Aussie Rules team lost a player to the netball carnival and then another two (not the same ones) to the Albury comp...
The highlight from reading the article - the WA teams actually only get 12 business class seats per trip. So even taking the Vic clubs' own whinging at face value, half or more of the travelling party each week is still disadvantaged. :D
Interesting tidbit here, given the 4th round pick trade speculations we've made from time to time:
I wouldn't say it's 100% official but it does align with seeing clubs spending time (and now whole seasons) with no 1st and 4th round pick.
Plenty of people sneak in to the Members area. There was plenty of complaints about opposing supporters doing so last year so they've been marginally more proactive this year. You could probably get into the middle parts on the non-Members area super-easily.
I only found out today that Aston Villa, the team I technically follow because of Mark Bosnich back in the 90s, is actually good again! Come on Champions League!
