Head says Horsham heart says giants to complete fairytale season coming up from district league.
By far the two best teams all year and giants will need to start faster than last time out. Only demons early innacuracy kept them in it.
I think horsham will win by 2 goals. Not a fan of the...
Yeah terrible weather cut down the gate attendance, atmosphere and quality of the footy a little but still a ripping day out at the city oval with many different clubs achieving some grand final success.
I think harrow will be incredibly strong for the forseeable future. Kalkee will build and...
Wouldnt be surprised if Harrow balmoral have printed the caps already. They have owned Kalkee this year who are simply not on their level.
Kalkee rely too much on their mids plus excell brothers and have too many passengers. League leading goal kicker Kuhne has hardly kicked any goals against...
Warriors definately favourites for the spoon on the back of all this news.
Anthony must not have made much effort to hide whatever he was doing as plenty of this has gone on in many a footy club community without major repercussions previously.
I find it stupid and almost laughable that in the...
On the wfl and ararat facebook page it is saying that was the score at 3/4q time...final score was apparently 142 to 59 which is an absolute hiding!
Yes its only round 1 and the rats play their home deck well but i think they will be in the mix for top 5 and stawell set to struggle bigtime!
Agree. I thought he would definately want in and be a big part if they were to get it done. I had them as clear preseason favourites but now still have warrack, saints and MM in my top 3 with giants nearby just no clue in what order! Going to be tight at the top
Yes agreed the WFL as a whole is a lot stronger with bigger populations and more depth than district league however i wouldnt be surprised if the giants are atleast fighting for top 3 as some years the so called level and standard of the WFL can be grossly overrated.
I am not convinced the...
Quite a few clearances in and with only a little over a month before the first bounce time to make a few ladder predictions for the upcoming season:
Harrow balmoral-clear favourites on paper after giants have gone. Lost a few picked up a few but will still be the team to beat after winning...
Warrack
Saints
MM
Giants
Demons
Stawell
Nhill
Ararat
Dim
Warrack have been getting better and building last couple of years and look the goods on paper now for sure. But so did stawell last year at this time with all these recruits and then never delivered. However i think warrack can...
Glad they got this new draw out reasonably quickly. Dual ground clubs have until friday to lock in which venue. What are peoples thoughts on top 5 or top 6 now that the comp is only 11 teams?
They are sticking with top 6 which i dont mind...gives another team a shot plus i have seen a top 5 in...
http://www.mailtimes.com.au/story/5175025/saints-and-border-districts-merger-not-to-go-ahead/?cs=226
I would imagine this merger talk will be revisited soon and with more time and planning probably take place sometime before next season now ready for a 2019 entry in the KNTFL . 4 grounds, 2...
Things are changing quickly round here with clubs choosing to move up a league and now merger talks whilst forced due to population decline taking place very very late.
Leagues and commisioners need to actually step up now and set a cut off date where nothing is able to be changed and allow...
Well looks like southern mallee giants are off to wimmera league if you read the papers.
Think its a good idea overall and they should be quite competitive initially anyway. Would solve wimmera leagues uneven draw and would bring back the bye for both hdfl and wimmera clubs which isnt a bad...
I see on the HDFNL facebook page that despite knowing for 2-3 years now some clubs have kicked up a stink about an 18 round season.
Pressure on volunteers sounds like main reason for this push from some clubs however if league fades away to only 10 teams at some stage in the next 5-10 years it...
Never heard about this, untidy if remotely true and again im sure if it was a real issue it would have been addressed back then.
I dont follow this league much but i am strongly against violence and cowards punching on a footy field hence why i took an interest when i heard about this incident...
