I remembered mine Rooty.
Bit of info going around about a cuppla matters:-
i/. Name of country footy identity who laid down the "Mounts could beat Flat and Maine" statement is becoming better and more widely known around the traps. Word is he's involved in the media right across town --- maybe...
MCDFL report in the (Bgo) Addy is supplied. KR and E2G and I have had similar correspondence on this blog before.
Maxwell Martin used to supply the paper's pre-match previews and the post-match write-ups. In the days before computers and mobile phones --- how did we get thru' a working week in...
HOW did our tips work out, Stevie A.
I see K. Rich could be sidelined with an ankle injury and his Botter Boys are languishing around 7th spot on the senior ladder.
THAT was Jock Clark One you're referring to Maxy and boys.
He was fired up last Sat. night but reasonably careful not to bag Mounts.
Last night Jock and the DartieFile were worked up about BFL clubs holding onto young netballers or making sure they couldn't -- or wouldn't --- go to other clubs...
DOONA --- Frankie Burke won the BFL Rookie of the Year award way back in the early 90s I think it was. Bennie Sexton won it also, but a few seasons after that.
Don't know why the Bendigo League wound that award up. Some marvellous players won it over the years, but I have a feeling Leigh...
THE bloke in the No. 26 blue and gold Square jumper I know is actually "Anthony Holdstock".
How come the new forumer's moniker has been reduced to "Tony Holdstock".
Then again you might say the broadcast bloke is Jock Clark One. Touche.
THE Frisky Goat, backpocketbattler, The Wombat and a cast of dozens would have seen the Gissy-Kyneton game.
Cooky's boys would have sorely missed Bradley Else. The little fella hasn't played yet and we're 2 rounds in.
Hurst has a mile of work to do. Big blokes Thornton and Cozens didn't do much...
MONSIEUR S. Addlem, my tips
Brook over Avoca .... by quite a little bit, I'm going to say
Talbot to go DOWN to the Apple Pressers
Likewise, Dunolly to succumb to Newstead
Campbell's Creek no match for Rovers
What's the other one .
If it's Bushy versus Trentham, inclined to go for Trentham...
RICH ... everythink hunky-dory at Talbot ?
Big discrepancy in Sat. score, but I reckon you'll say Talbot was playing one of 2008's Top Three.
Still, teams have to beat those above them at some stage to give credibility to spectators (and casual observers) that they have the goods.
OH DEAR, Davis/PT and others: Cooky's Tiges have their 3rd big assignment in as many weeks.
Kyneton has played the 07 grand finalists in the opening 2 weeks.
Now comes the Square, fresh from an absolute shellacking of the Hurst in the rain Sat. nite.
The Country Vet Dogs have plenty of...
LOOK back at my post #7113, Davis.
I gave the young Kyneton side a bit of credit for their performance against the Eaglehawk machine last Sat.
The fact that the Tiges kicked the 1st 3 goals of the last quarter when they were a long way behind proved they have quite a bit of spirit.
RICH, Shermo and MCDFL forumers --- how are things shaping administratively under the Ballarat hub ?
Maxwell Martin and Co. have been put out to pasture. I don't think Maxwell even bothers with the 5.50 pm Saturday ring to radio with the MCDFL footy and netball scores any more.
GISSIE-based boys r being a touch hard on the Kyneton Tiger Cubbies.
They tried hard and had a crack last Sat. Admittedly Cameron Tate was far and away their best, but a couple of the younger guys looked OK.
With Cookie, Brad Else and Jock Allan back this week they'll be better again.
Hands up...
