Shout out to Ginni and his work late in the 4th these past 2 weeks. Been pushing up to stoppage and getting first at the feet of the ruckman to lock it in and run some clock down. Very handy IP he's brought from the Pies.
Can't be trading 1sts or future 1sts to top up with players from other clubs yet. We're still multiple 1st rounders away (versatile KPP's and X factor mids) from this rebuild coming close to the other side of the mountain yet.
Gotta wonder where our proper top 10 in the league/generational...
Watched Amon closely in his new role and he was honestly awful defensively. Couldn't track his man, couldn't kill contests, couldn't calm the pressure with loose balls. We're desperate for Seamus and Bmac to get back to take those roles and let Amon return to his wing.
No point rushing Day back too early, it's another rebuilding year and in an area of the ground that we're actually pretty stacked, with Ward, both CMacs, Husthwaite and Stephens all looking to get mid minutes. Let Day have the time off to get the injury fully rehabbed imo.
Worth considering McKay has spent his whole career as the main defender for Norf with minimal help, having a Sicily/Hardwick next to him to ease the burden of pressure may unlock some better footy from him
Actually gives a bit of younger Zac Butters vibe for me. Dangerous enough as a half forward, but reckon he could become a little terrier getting the ball from inside-to-outside if he got proper midfield minutes and the tank for it.
I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually wouldn't be too disappointed if we cancelled Dingley and instead invested the money into upgrading/remaining at Waverley. Something about the whole Dingley thing seems fishy, slightly further away/built on a rubbish tip/not really Hawthorn...
Thanks for that, would make end-to-end work so well! Just a bit too tricky to decide if a player has a decent lead and separation on their opponent via looking at the radar, would be much easier being able to actually visually see them leading into open space to kick to on the fat side.
The End-To-End cam definitely still needs some work. Swings way too fast in a possession change which makes it impossible to react with a handball or tackle. And when in possession, it needs to have the right joystick capable of swinging the camera field-of-view, so you can actually see if a...
The stats in 10 minute quarters now are actually reasonably realistic, both for team stuff and individuals. Only real discrepancy is in the tackle numbers, still way too hard to tackle the AI.
Adjustable sliders added would also make it so much easier to refine the game to your own preference...
Are we gonna get customisable sliders? That seemed like one of the best parts of the Evo game, to be able to turn up or down the Ai ability to mark, tackle, spoil etc.
