Really hope we're not, personally. Still not sure what he'd bring as a point of difference. If we were, at least we don't have to trade I guess? (although I'd rather bank the $$$ and go shopping next year).

100% this. Other than seemingly being linked to the Lions early days, I don't get the fascination.

Review Round 8, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. Gold Coast

I doubt it'll get mentioned, but I reckon this was up there with the Melbourne win for a coaching master class (putting aside the injury carnage that came thereafter). Zorko back to HB was the right move; Dunkley to Rowell (who, I have to add, is disappointingly getting more leeway on HTB...

Preview Lions v Suns Sunday 5th May @ 7.10 pm The Gabba

No chance for mine. Payne will get King. Besides a few moments in the Geelong game, he's been getting better by the week.

Started before that, didn't it ? Wasn't there changes (bidding system?) after Sydney got Heeney and Mills in successive drafts? Typical pro-Vic, myopic view. Get sick of reading of players wanting to "come home", like it's a right of passage. NGA's are a joke too (which were another knee-jerk...

Preview Brisbane Lions v Geelong Round 6 (Saturday 20 April 7:30PM @ Gabba)

Ankle. Hangover from the North game (and to be honest, seeing him live, he didn't "look right" at the MEL game). Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if he's back earlier than expected - ankles can do that 🤞

Might change the team dynamic, but for the better? I personally wouldn't want them both in the centre square - I don't think their disposal is good enough. I'm happy with the balance we have at the moment. FWIW, I too think him being a or the defensive midfielder is his go, but the only way Dev...

Opinion Who was the superior player Simon Black or Lachie Neale?

Suspect there'll be some recency bias here, so hard to effectively assess. For mine though, without denigrating Neale, I'd have Black ahead on two elements - he kicked more goals per game (at least so far), and he was better on his opposite side. Neale is still underrated in football circles...

Review Round 5, 2024 - Melbourne vs. Brisbane Lions

100% this. On the actual issue, I've no doubt there was heaps of niggle the whole night between Petty and our players. You could see it at the ground, and on the replay too. Who knows what was said to Answerth at some point? More broadly, if we're getting some confidence/swagger back, and our...

Review Round 4, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. North Melbourne

Yep. I for one get sick of the winger bashing that occurs on here at times. Think they do a hell of a lot of un-rewarded running (in all games, not just last night), that simply goes unseen. I got a new appreciation for Mitch Robinson when he and McCluggage were flying a few years ago, and our...

    Preview Round 5 - Melbourne Demons v Brisbane Lions (Thursday, 11 April 2024 @ 7:30pm)

Personally, am OK with this approach. Not sure who benefits (other than supporters!) from sharing such info. Feel we'd potentially be giving opposing teams a leg up if we were to do so.
