Here's an idea for other clubs to ponder:
1. Take say, Hawks & Cats, play on Good Friday.
2. Have exclusive rights to the day, both clubs pouring money into marketing the game.
3. Build it up to be one of the biggest games of the H & A fixture, reaping in the dollars.
4. Then, 15 years...
Not much...
Like the Bradbury cup last year, you only need to look at how the Hawks won their 10 flags to see that when you remove the sh1t and glitter, they really are an ordinary side who just got lucky on the day. It was a case of the premiership being handed over on a silver platter...
It's only the 'minnow' clubs who feel they need to justify their greatness. Just look at the Pies its's all they have...Or perhaps had.
Hawks can string a few more years of $5+ mill profits and you may come close to the Dons...Good luck to you...
